Preserve the Taste of Summer (A Food Perservation Course)

Iowa State University Extension is offering a new food preservation program, Preserve the Taste of Summer. It is a comprehensive program comprised of both online lessons (12 hours) and hands-on workshops (4 hours), that discusses food safety practices and provides detailed instruction pertaining to the major food preservation techniques. The course fee is $125: $100 payable to ISU Extension and $25 payable to Heartland AEA (registration fee). This includes 8 online lessons and one 4-hour hands-on workshop. Participants can attend additional hands-on workshops for $40 each, payable to ISU Extension. Participants will register online at www.ucs.iastate.edu/mnet/preservation/home. This link is where participants will make their program selection and payment.

 Registration information in regards to the license renewal credit will be forwarded to participants.
